Question 3: I am a foreigner who want to apply for a work visa

Currently, according to Circular 40/2016, enterprises only need to submit the form (Form No. 1) to the People's Committee of the City (or Province) for approval of foreign workers before 15 days of official application.

I/ In case the foreign worker applies for new issuance in Vietnam

1. A copy of passport (full)

2. Imagine with the size of 4 x 6cm (white background without glasses)

3. Medical examination certificate: (HCM) in one of the hospitals: Cho Ray, Thong Nhat, Phap Viet, 115, Van Hanh, Columbia

4. Confirmation of experience at least one year abroad at the same position (the dossier must be consularly legalized and translated into Vietnamese by a notary public).

II/ In case the foreign worker has a work permit and continues to work (re-issue a work permit) with the company

The application for re-issuance of a work permit must be prepared one month in advance of the expiry of the license. - The procedure for extension of the work permit in the usual way:

1. Imagine with the size of 4 x 6cm (white background without glasses)

2. Medical examination certificate.

3. Old work permit (original).

III/ If the foreign worker has a work permit but expires and continues to work (re-issue a work permit) with the company

If the work permit has expired, it is compulsory to apply for a new work permit - the procedure for granting a new work permit:

1. A copy of passport (full)
